Confident Test-Taking Starts Here
“Optimism is faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
– Helen Keller
The PrepSquared Advantage
We take the dark mystery out of standardized testing. Our online interactive LIVE SAT test prep courses feature small class sizes (maximum of 8 students), which allow each student to receive the individual attention and personalized teaching approach that are essential for mastery.
What makes us different than other test prep companies?

We have SMALL classes
Our groups contain eight students per class at most. We’ve found that a class size of eight strikes the perfect balance of a small personalized environment that ultimately encourages conversation and participation, both key components of success.

We GroupSmart®
We’ve analyzed data from 50K hours of experience to develop an algorithm that allows us to intelligently group students for our Small Group Test Prep courses. By grouping students with similar learning styles and aptitudes together, our student outcomes are superior.

We have extensive EXPERIENCE
When you have 50,000+ hours of tutoring under your belt, you’ve learned a few things. We’ve learned what resonates with students and what doesn’t. Our efficient and effective classes follow the unique curriculum that we have developed based on our extensive tutoring experience.

Cameras & Microphones are ON
The pandemic made it clear that mono-directional learning didn’t work well. Our experience taught us that students are significantly more engaged when they are communicating visually and orally with the instructor and their peers.

QUESTION-based NOT Lecture-based
We work hard to provide an ACTIVE rather than PASSIVE online learning environment for our students. Our question-based method of conveying course material delivers an ACTIVE class atmosphere.

Homework is REVIEWED
We WANT to know what students aren’t understanding in their homework. Chances are, if one student had trouble with a particular problem, others in the class did too. We discuss any homework questions that students struggled with at the start of each class.

Parent Communication
As parents, you’ve made an investment in us, and in your student’s future. We want you to understand how your student is doing in class beyond what you see in the online dashboard. We’ll send you an email after your student’s first proctored exam outlining what we’re seeing in class.

Small Group SAT Test Prep
GroupSmart®, our secret sauce
At PrepSquared, there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all. We don’t use cookie cutter techniques to force students into a certain mold or mode of learning. After years of test prep and tutoring, we know it’s critical that students feel comfortable in their learning environment. We use our proprietary GroupSmart® algorithm to intelligently group students for our award-winning Small Group SAT Test Prep. It’s efficient and it’s effective. Students are in class with others of similar strengths and challenges. They confidently ask questions and learn from each other’s queries. No other test prep company does this.
On our registration form, you will select the times your student is available to attend class. The options presented to you will depend on the information that you’ve entered about your student. Then, you will receive instructions for your student to take an online proctored diagnostic test (a full-length SAT). This is mandatory for all students.

Only Eight Students and Live
Interaction is key
We continue to read about (and personally observe) the learning losses suffered during the Covid-19 pandemic.
One-way teaching simply does not work well. Using lessons learned during our own experiences teaching online during the pandemic, we’ve refined our program to make it highly interactive rather than mono-directional.
With small class sizes and with students intentionally grouped together, we’re able to keep our students engaged in each session.
Students must keep their cameras and microphones on, which encourages engagement and participation.
Our expert tutors answer student questions as they asked.

Small Group SAT Test Prep Frequently Asked Questions
Are these recorded classes or is the Small Group SAT Test Prep taught in-person?
Our Small Group SAT Test Prep program is taught in-person via Zoom by our expert tutors. Between classes, students are assigned homework which includes pre-recorded video lessons.
Is Small Group SAT Test Prep right for my student?
Given that we group students in classes based on scores (see GroupSmart® block above), our small-group SAT course is ideal for juniors/rising juniors (over the summer)/seniors who score between 900-1400 on a past PSAT/SAT or diagnostic test. Students starting above/below those scores or who have not taken Algebra II yet, are typically better suited for individual tutoring. Feel free to contact us and we can help guide you.
Do you offer individual tutoring?
Yes, we do!
How do I know whether my student should take the SAT or the ACT?
We answer that question for you right here.
How long is the Small Group SAT Test Prep program?
Our Small Group SAT Test Prep program lasts for six weeks.
How does the program/class scheduling work?
After entering information about your student, you will be presented with several options for your student’s math and reading section schedules. You will select from those options. Generally, we recommend that you select separate days for your math and reading sections so that your student is fresh for each.

What kind of score increases can we expect?
All students are different, and student outcomes are typically directly proportional to the amount of work and effort the student puts into the program. That said, we are proud to offer our average point increases below:
210 points: Average increase in SAT scores on new SAT.
My student plans to take the SAT more than once. Do you offer any classes between exams?
After taking our Small Group SAT Test Prep program and the subsequent SAT following our program, your student may have access to our instructional videos and materials for an additional 12 months for $250 so that they can stay sharp for further SATs.
How does PrepSquared compare to other test prep companies?
You can review our comparison to other leading test prep companies here. In addition, we offer 10 reasons to choose PrepSquared in our Why Us? page. Our number one differentiator, however, is our GroupSmart® method of grouping students together. No other test prep company does this. Our Guarantee
In short, we don’t do gimmicks. That’s just not us.
Our experience has shown us that if students put in the time and effort and participate in our classes, their scores increase. We are an award winning company because we focus on what resonates with each individual student. Everyone has a different challenge: math, reading comprehension, writing organization, test-taking anxiety or a mixture of them all. All Small Group SAT Test Prep students are invited to take additional practice tests at no charge. If you’re unhappy with your student’s progress, let’s talk. We’ll make it right.
